Top New York City broker makes the move to Corcoran
The Corcoran Group is welcoming one of New York City’s top small real estate teams to the firm. On Wednesday, the brokerage announced that The Kathy Murray Team is making the move to Corcoran.
Murray was previously brokered with Douglas Elliman, where she spent the past two decades of her career.
“Kathy is a fantastic agent, and I’m proud to have her join Corcoran,” Pamela Liebman, the president and CEO of Corcoran, said in a statement. “I have no doubt that she will continue to make a major impact on the New York City real estate industry, especially with the strength of the Corcoran brand behind her.”
During her career, Murray has closed more than $1 billion in sales volume. She has also been recognized by The Real Deal as one of New York City’s top-50 brokers.
Murray is bringing her full team with her to Corcoran, including agents Noah Meltzer, Lara Schecter and Rafael Vieria. The team will be affiliated with Corcoran’s East Side office, which is led by senior managing directors Helen Monti and Tim Rettaliata.
“After 20 years with Douglas Elliman, I was ready for a new chapter and to expand on how I serve my clients. Corcoran’s global reach, brand strength, and leadership in new development made it the clear choice,” Murray said in a statement.
“This move positions my team and I to better serve our clients, whether they are buying, selling, investing, or developing.”
Murray and her team regularly represent buyers and sellers in their purchase and sale of multimillion dollar properties in Manhattan.
In 2024, they closed 47 transaction sides totaling $77.96 million in sales volume, according to RealTrends data. The team ranked No. 56 in the state among small teams for sales volume in the 2025 RealTrends Verified Rankings.
