But a savvy real estate agent can share some great technology that buyers can use to do a little preview before actually house shopping with the help of the internet, a smart phone or a laptop. Check out a few technology-driven “tools of the trade:”
YouTube — YouTube provides videos with local information of neighborhoods, activities, shops and more.
Many agents provide information about the buying and selling process vis short videos too. A quick directed search can result in a variety of videos to watch.
Google — Looking for an agent? Google can help homebuyers find Realtors’ information along with their reviews. Many website provides reviews of Realtors, but Google will usually have more resources to find the right one. Through Google, buyers can also search for Realtors in a specific area of interest, which might indicate they are knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
Home Search Websites — Searching for homes on the right website can help make the search for the perfect home a lot easier on those shopping for a new home. Many Realtors have websites that are directly linked to the Arizona Realtor Multiple Listings Service (ARMLS), which is the best source for active listings. For the best results, buyers should contact a Realtor who can set them up on a home search with current “active” homes on the market. Realtors can even create a subscription that will email listings that directly to homebuyers soon as they hit the market. This makes the homes search easier with little effort. However, it’s important to note that not all home search websites are created equal. Sites like Zillow, for example, are “buyer capturing” websites — and a large portion of their homes are already under contract, which can be frustrating and disheartening for potential buyers.
Mortgage Calculator — Mortgage calculators can be found with a quick online search, and one of these is the best way to figure out what a payment might be without speaking with a lender.
